Key features	development of coal seam gas resources 450 km underground main transmission gas pipeline processing plant and export facility (four trains with a total capacity of up to 18 million tonnes per annum of LNG)

29 August 2009 to 12 October 2009	Public consultation on draft terms of reference for EIS.
3 August 2009	Project deemed a 'controlled action' by Commonwealth Minister for the Environment.
6 July 2009	Project referred to Commonwealth Minister for the Environment.
9 April 2009	Gazettal of 'significant project' declaration ( 171 KB)
27 March 2009	Application, including initial advice statement ( 2.14 MB), submitted.

As part of its EIS, Australia Pacific LNG prepared a social impact management plan.

Since the publication of the Coordinator-General's report on the EIS, the proponent has applied for changes to the project.
