About state development areas

A state development area (SDA) is a clearly defined area of land—for industry, infrastructure corridors and major public works—established to promote economic development in Queensland.

Development schemes

Each state development area is subject to a development scheme, a regulatory document that controls planning and development in an SDA.

Applications and requests

There are a number of applications or requests relating to development within SDAs, including an SDA application for a material change of use.
