Here’s what happened in 2025
In 2025 our work helped a lot of projects progress across Queensland. We’ve delivered some major milestones and have plans in place to support projects into the future for infrastructure, industries and major projects across the state.
From the Bribie breakthrough to critical minerals, high-tech manufacturing and water security our work supports billions of dollars in investment, thousands of jobs, helps industries develop, and grows regional economies.
Here’s some of the highlights

- Paradise Dam Improvement Project: early works commenced and declared a coordinated project, aiming to restore the dam to its original height and capacity.
- Alpha HPA : located in the Gladstone State Development Area, the project will support high tech manufacturing and bring economic opportunity for Queensland.
- PhosOne Project: declared a Prescribed project, Queensland’s first large-scale phosphate plant, supporting agriculture, manufacturing, and future jobs.
- Esmeralda Graphite Project: declared a Prescribed project, unlocking global investment and positioning Queensland as a critical minerals leader.
- Eva Copper Mine: reached final investment decision, a $1.7 billion project creating ~1250 jobs and reinforcing Queensland’s resources strength.
- Centurion North Development Project: declared a coordinated project, securing 525 jobs and supporting steelmaking and energy reliability.
- QRCUF demonstration facility: advancing critical mineral processing opportunities in Queensland.
- Bribie Island Emergency Works: successful closure of Breakthroughs #2 and #3 and ongoing works to renourish beaches, strengthening resilience.
- Inland Rail Border to Gowrie (B2G): A significant step forward with a 12-week consultation for the revised draft EIS putting regional voices first.
These projects and milestones reflect our commitment to collaboration, transparency and delivering regional growth.
