  • Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Exploratory and Main Works project

    Proposal to develop a pumped hydro energy storage (PHES) project to supply up to 2,000 MW electricity for up to 24 hours (resulting in a storage capacity of 48,000 MWh)

  • Cairncross Dockyard Brisbane Project

    Redevelopment project aiming to establish a world-class ship sustainment hub with the potential to support Defence maritime activities in Queensland.

  • Capricorn Copper Recovery and Extension Project

    Restoring the mine to full operational capacity, which includes essential works to restart mining, along with upgrades and new infrastructure to support future growth. These improvements will enable expanded production of copper, silver, and cobalt.

  • CopperString 2032 project

    Approximately 1,000 kilometres of high-voltage overhead electricity transmission lines connecting the North West Minerals Province to the national electricity market.

  • Esmeralda Graphite Project

    A new open-cut graphite mine and a downstream graphite refinery. The mine hosts Queensland’s largest graphite deposit and one of the most significant globally, with a projected 50-year mine life and production of 25 million tonnes of graphite concentrate. The graphite refinery would produce battery-grade materials.

  • Eva Copper Mine Project

    A Greenfield copper project proposed to produce approximately 55,000 to 60,000 tonnes of copper annually, over a minimum 15-year mine life.

  • Guthalungra Aquaculture Project

    Proposal to construct a new aquaculture facility to produce 2700 tonnes per annum of black tiger prawns, for domestic and export markets.

  • Iona Project

    A state-of-the-art beef processing facility powered by cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence, setting a new standard for innovation in the industry.

  • Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct

    Townsville City Council plans to develop the estate over the next 20 years to transform it into an environmentally sustainable, advanced manufacturing, processing and technology hub.

  • PhosOne Project

    North West Phosphate Limited and Sibanye-Stillwater as joint venture propose to combine assets to establish a sustainable, cost-effective phosphate operation in Northwest Queensland. It is anticipated the project will produce on average 1 million tonnes of phosphate per annum over 52 years.

  • Project Green Poly

    A large-scale metallurgical silicon and polysilicon production plant, proposed in Townsville City Council’s Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct.

  • Ravenswood Expansion Project

    Expansion of the existing gold mine at Ravenswood to boost gold production to over 200,000 ounces per year and extend the mine's life beyond 2035. Operations are undertaken from end-to-end gold mining process, from discovery to the pouring of the final gold bar.

  • Townsville Energy Chemicals Hub Project

    Sustainable high-purity battery materials refinery within the Lansdown Eco Industrial Precinct, approximately 40 km south of Townsville.

  • Vecco Critical Minerals Project

    A Critical Minerals Project (Vecco Project) and associated downstream vanadium battery electrolyte processing facility in Townsville.
